1. Why was CSATF created?
The California Staff Assault Task Force was created in October of 2003. The Task Force was formed by a group of concerned Correctional Employees who banded together and formed a non-profit, membership controlled, employee organization to fight back. The Task Force was established to provide Staff Assault Support and to help support crime victims within our community. The Task Force has established a network of attorneys to fight for our rights to hold the inmates accountable for their staff assaults.
2. What are CSATF objectives?
CSATF will assist Law Enforcement and staff who have been assaulted.
CSATF will assist our member in holding the inmate accountable through the Civil Court process.
CSATF will ensure that members have a voice.
3. How do I become a member?
Visit our Membership page and complete the online application. For a minimum amount of $15.00 per month you become a member of CSATF and receive a $10,000 life insurance policy.
4. How to file a claim?
Fax a signed copy of your 837C (Corrections) or Behavior Report-Supplemental (Youth Facility). On your coversheet include your full name, last 4 of your social, your mailing address and contact number. If you were taken off work due to the assault, include your latest doctor’s note taking you off work. All of this may be faxed to 661-949-1181. Contact CSATF with any questions.
